A Social Network Christmas

I'm finally getting into the Christmas Spirit! I stole this from a Friend's blog, I watched it and I just thought it was kind of cool! You might have to scroll down and pause my playlist because the music with clash with the music on the video!
We went driving around last night as a Family to look at Christmas lights, it's a tradition that my Family used to do every year and I really want to keep it going. Payton actually was kind of into it, we had to prod him at first to "find the lights" but after a while he was pointing at the lights and clapping. Our favorite house looked like an actual Gingerbread House, we had to look at that one twice. It was a great evening to spend together as a family!

Merry Christmas!

Remember

This week at our MOPS meeting, we had a speaker who spoke on cherishing this season of our lives. Even though sometimes we get tired of repeatedly picking up toys, or scrambling to get out of the house on time with everything we need, we sometimes might wish that our Children were old enough to do things for themselves, or that our house might stay clean for at least a day after we clean it! Someday those things will happen and when they do we'll find ourselves wishing we had more time with our little ones! I cried pretty much the whole time she was speaking!
This last month or so has been really busy at our house, as I've been working evenings and weekends for the Holiday season and also working another job which thankfully I can work from home. Of course this time of year is busy for everyone I think, but I feel like the last 2 months have flown by, right before my eyes! What little time we have had together as a Family we've tried to really get the most out of! But, the speaker on Tuesday really got me thinking, one of our discussion questions was, "What will you miss most about this season of your life?"

I'll miss watching him run around the house with his Hat & Mittens on because he genuinely is having fun doing it!

I'll miss picking kitchen utensils up off the floor because he loves taking them out of the drawer and using them as drumsticks

I'll miss watching him have fun with Baby toys even though he's too old for them

I'll miss random hugs when you're not expecting them, hugs with a running start are the best!

There are a lot of things that I will miss about this time in our lives, which is why I have to try to record everything I can! I don't want to forget anything!

Our Family wishes you all a Blessed Christmas Season!

Smitten with Mittens

Today I got Payton's hat & mittens out because we were going to go outside and play, but when we got outside it really wasn't cold out at all, which is great!! So, when we got back inside his mittens were laying on the couch and he was playing with them but I could tell he didn't really know what they were. So, I put them on his hands and he absolutely loved them, He was running around, giggling and clapping with them. It was so funny! Hopefully that's a good sign for the coming winter, if we don't have to fight him every time we put his mittens on that is going to be great!!

He even tried to play with his toys while wearing his mittens, I kept taking them off of him and he kept bringing them back to me to put back on him. It did make picking things up a little bit difficult but he didn't seem to mind!

In the end he decided it was easier to just knock all of the toys over than continue trying to pick them up! So we were done with the mittens at that point!
