Boxes, Bugs & Beeps Oh My!

We got a new toy box a few weeks ago, and boy am I glad we did! Because not only does it give us a place to put toys in our living room, it also serves as a play pen! Okay, so I don't actually use it as a play pen, but Payton really does like to play in it! He takes all of toys out of it and then gets in, he even wants us to shut the lid on him, he thinks it's hilarious!

We also got Payton some bugs to play with, there are bugs at Grandma's house and he loves them! There is also a book at Grandma's called "I Like Bugs" and when we visit we have to read the book over and over and over! So now he has bugs at our house!

Payton's new favorite game is to grab my keys, he has figured out that one of the buttons makes the car honk and he likes to push it repeatedly, I'm pretty sure our neighbors don't appreciate it! So he pushes the button then looks at me to see if I noticed and if I react he takes off running and I can't help but laugh because he's laughing hysterically and running around. It's pretty funny!

Can you see his smile behind the paci? He Knows what he just did!

And now he's going to run!

And run!

That's all for now! Have a great week!!

Lately

What have we been up to lately?

Watching it snow...

And snow...

Payton's new Saying: "Oh No!"

What do you do with all that snow?

Make Ice-Cream!

And of course eat it!

Brrr! That's cold!

Then we got a haircut

And went from this....

To This...

So Much Better!!

And another favorite right now...

Reading Books! Payton loves to read books, he always has, but some days it seems like all we do!

Rock Star

Payton had his 15 month old well child check up today (he's really 16 months old but it's okay). I was really worried about this one, because I thought to myself, that he would be old enough at this point to kind of know what was going on and I was really worried about the vaccinations this time too, I thought he would really cry to the point that we wouldn't be able to calm him down, all in all I was expecting the worst!
But, this child totally ROCKED IT OUT!! He was totally cooperative with us, the nurses, the doctor, he let them check him over, even let them check his ears, which he's never done!! Then the vaccination time came and he cried but very quietly and we calmed him down in no time! Then, we had to go to the lab so he could get his finger pricked and I was all worried again, but guess what? No crying!! They blew some bubbles to distract him and it totally worked, he really didn't even notice the finger prick until they put the band-aid on and even then he just thought it was a sticker that he needed to take off! All the Doctors and Nurses kept saying that he was the best kid they had seen all day! That really gave my Mommy ego a boost!
I was just so amazed by him today!! This kid is a total ROCK STAR!

Oh, and by the way, in case you're wondering, He's totally perfect! Well, according to the Doctors and the Charts anyway. He's in the 86th percentile for his height & weight and is hitting all the major milestones. I'm so proud of him!!
